Mixtape Friday #6: Oh Glory

Thursday, December 1, 2011

It's been a pretty rough week. How can you have two extremely different emotions in one week?! Gain and loss. Comfort and desolation.

Well, I guess that's what life is really about. "Build myself a wall up on happy highs, but know in my heart that my head is lying."

Here's to the craziest week ever. We cry because we remember and regret. It will only get better.

My deepest condolences to the Gonzales and Anore family.

1.) Oh Glory - Panic! At The Disco
"I can only hope it’s true enough that every little thing I do for love redeems me from the moments I deem worthy of the worst things that I've done."

2.) Turn Off The Lights - Panic! At The Disco
"Our consciences are always so much heavier than our egos. I set my expectations high so nothing ever comes out right."

3.) The Sun - Maroon 5
"And mama I've been cryin' cause things ain't how they used to be. She said the battles almost won and we're only several miles from the sun."

4.) Helpless - Neon Trees
"Leave me alone. I know I'm not making sense but I know I can't let you come any closer. It's my security, its my self-defense, I keep on doing all this over and over."

5.) Say - John Mayer
"Take all of your wasted honor, every little past frustration. Take all your so called problems, better put 'em in quotations.  Say what you need to say."

You better know that in the end it's better to say too much than never to say what you need to say again.
